UK Compliance
Free postal entry.
No purchase necessary. Every IT BAGS Competition can be entered for free by post — postal and paid Entries are drawn from the same pool and have an equal chance of winning.
This page summarises clause 6B (Free Postal Entry) of our Terms & Conditions. The Terms prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
How to enter
- On a postcard or in a letter, clearly state all of the following:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth (to confirm you are aged 18 or over)
- Your full UK residential postal address
- Your contact telephone number
- The email address registered to your IT BAGS account (or, if you do not yet have an account, an email address at which you can be contacted to set one up)
- The exact name of the Competition you wish to enter
- The closing date of that Competition
- The answer to the Skill Question, where one is published
- Send it by First or Second Class post (postage paid) to the address below. We must receive your Entry on or before the closing date and time of the Competition.
Postal address
The postal-entry address may be updated from time to time. The current address shown on this page prevails.
Equal chance, every time
Each valid postal Entry is allocated a single ticket equivalent in value to the lowest-priced paid Entry then offered on the relevant Competition. Postal and paid Entries are drawn from the same pool and have an equal chance of winning, including for any Instant Win Prizes attached to that Competition.
Instant wins & postal entries
Where a Competition includes Instant Win Prizes, postal Entries are entered into the same pool as paid online Entries and have an identical chance of being allocated a winning Entry number. The method used to assign Instant Win numbers does not depend on entry route, so a free postal Entry is just as likely to win an Instant Win Prize as a paid Entry of the same lowest-priced value.
How many free entries you can submit
There is no cap on the number of free postal Entries you may submit per Competition. To keep parity with the paid route, you may submit as many free Entries as you wish. Each Entry must be sent separately — one (1) Entry per postcard or letter.
What we cannot accept
The following will not be accepted:
- Bulk Entries
- Photocopies or mechanically reproduced Entries
- Multiple Entries on a single postcard or letter
- Entries submitted by any third party on your behalf
Receipt, deadlines and lost mail
Postal Entries must be received by us by the published closing date and time of the Promotion Period — the same deadline that applies to paid Entries. The date and time of receipt by us, not the postmark date, determines validity. Please allow sufficient time for postal delivery; we accept no responsibility for postal Entries that are lost, delayed, damaged, illegible, misdirected or otherwise not received in time.
Cost
Postal Entries are free to submit; you are responsible only for the cost of postage and stationery, which we will not reimburse.
